Reports, blocks, the account, and how to reach the desk. The house policy is in the terms and the house rules.
Does it cost anything?
No. There is no paid tier, and messages are free. Display ads pay for the site: a banner under the member strip, a column on a wide screen, and occasional slots in the search list.
How do I report a member?
Open their profile, choose More, then Report, and pick the closest reason. Use the money reason if they asked you for cash, and the sexual-content reason for nudity or paid sex. The desk does not act on a single report. It acts when several different members report the same problem. A burst of reports from related accounts is treated as misuse of the button.
How do I block someone?
On their profile, choose More, then Block. They cannot message you or open your profile. To undo it, open Account, then Block list, and choose Unblock. A block cannot be lifted for two hours.
How do I close my account?
Open Account, then Delete my account, and enter your password. The profile goes, and so do the messages you sent and received. This cannot be undone, and the username is not reserved.
Can I change my email or password?
Both are on the Account page. The username stays as you chose it. Use an email you can open. Unfinished profiles and long-quiet accounts are warned there before they are removed.
What should I watch for?
Do not send money, vouchers, or gift cards to someone you met here. Do not share a bank login, a copy of your ID, or your home address early. If someone asks for money, stop and report them. If you meet, pick a public place and tell a friend where you are going.
Can people see where I am?
The city map is for signed-in members. It puts one pin on the centre of each city and shows a count. It does not use GPS, a street, or a suburb. In Settings, Show my city on the map can be turned off. You then stay in search and drop off the map.
Why might an account disappear?
A profile that is never finished is emailed after 7 days and removed if it stays empty. An account with no visit for 360 days gets the same warning first. Signing in and filling the profile stops that.
What does a qualified invite give?
When a friend joins with your link and their photo is approved, display ads stay off for you for 14 days and for them for 7 days. You also get a 24-hour place nearer the top of search, and a Founding member badge while spots remain. The invite page has the link and the days you have left.
What does Set as unread do?
If their latest note has been on your screen for less than about five seconds, and they are not on the site, you can put the conversation back to unread. Once you have read it, or while they are on the site, that control stays off.
What does Withdrawn mean?
The sender took that message back. Both of you see the placeholder instead of the original text. Unsend is free. It only works on your own messages, and only for a day.
